Join us for the return of spring with a day in the great outdoors! This free event includes hands-on wildlife demonstrations, fishing, rock-skipping, pond explorations, family-friendly hiking trails and a variety of other fun, wildlife-themed activities.

Learn how to set a turtle trap, collect insects from a stream, observe wildlife and report your findings to scientists. Complete activities at each station and earn a Junior Ranger Patch from Haw River State Park!

Partnering organizations include Haw River State Park, the North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s Great Outdoors University, the Greensboro Science Center, University of North Carolina at Greensboro and ecoEXPLORE at The North Carolina Arboretum.
